The Three Temples route
A unique tour of Loyola, La Antigua and Arantzazu
You might say that the first step on the Camino Ignaciano, or Ignatian Way, is the Three Temples Route. You can follow this route that links the Sanctuary of Loyola (Azpeitia), the Hermitage of La Antigua (Zumarraga) and the Sanctuary of Arantzazu (Oñati) by road (car or bus), on foot via the Camino Ignaciano (GR120) or cycling on the GR286 Araindarri – Three Temples road, taking in Mount Ibilbidea. However you travel, getting up close to the culture, history, art and spirituality of our region offers a unique opportunity to learn about these places from three different times, in three different styles, and to follow the path that links them.
